New Gimmick

Jedi Sidewalker made a clever observation on his blog recently, that the most successful blogs all have an adorable pet or familiar that follow them around, increase the 'awwww' factor and keep readers looking out for their adventures.

Now I, personally, am not above a gimmick to draw and keep readers. MrsB has Tanner, CrazyMom has her nearly endless stash, and I have Iggy.

My long-term readers (hi, sis!) may remember Iggy, and the half hour when I thought I might sell him, and my firls may well remember his adventures in trying to have his own book. Now, he will have a career inhabiting my blog - his first adventure arrives tomorrow.

Sidewalker Update

Last weekend's Sidewalking (yup, I made a verb out of a structure!) only netted me one penny. Sadly, that makes only $0.08, which is substantially lower than even my google accrued ad revenue. Sigh. I'm thinking that for the time being at least I need to be using a smaller jar, becuase at the moment it's just making me sad.

Any sidewalking updates from the peanut gallery? If you aren't familiar with the quintessential get rich slow scheme, click here to be edified. Oh, and while your there, click a few ads - it won't hurt you and the little sidewalkers are growing out of their burlap sacks at an alarming rate.

Sidewalker Chronicles

So, I have diligently been pursuing life as a Sidewalker paduan, although I got distracted on my walk last night and was too busy talking to watch where I was going. Sadly, I only netted seven cents this week, and that was all in one go on the metro platform.

One of these days, I'm going to work out a little badge to put on the sidebar with my running total of found change. I wonder what it will work out to by my birthday next year. I'm banking on a little more than a thirty-five cent cookie at the grocery store.

And how about the rest of you? Any new change in your sidewalker jars?

P.S. stay tuned tomorrow for more Purple Love
