Because once again, this is just cool


I don't know what this is going to be called, but for the time, I'm calling it Oregon Blue. It's a new form of synthetic blue, that was accidentally made in an Oregon State Chemistry Lab. For the complete article, click here.
I guess my old chemistry teacher was right, there are no bad experiments. (only, in my case, very bad students who should stop read archaeology magazines in class and pay attention, dammit!)

I think it's pretty awesome, too - apparently one of the ingredients is pretty expensive, so I won't be seeing it in my local arts supply store next to the linseed oil any time soon!
