. . . . . because my wonderful primrose yellow Light 'N Easy Iron from General Electric, that was purchased used from the Fort Devens Thrift in 1974, has finally given up it's steam function.
Actually, it still makes steam - enough to fog up my glasses even - but at the same time it dribbles mercilessly, even with only an ounce of water in it's belly.
sigh
Of course, I won't be giving up my little darling, I'll just add a simple mister to my ironing table.
