tarabu live!

One of the key reasons my blog posts have been more sporadic than usual, is that the spring/summer fair season is creeping up on me and I have some serious inventory to build!

So here's the skinny on the current line-up for 2009:

April 25 - Crofton, MD - 10am - 4pm

This event is the Crofton Town Club biannual Fair, which is held every spring and fall on the grounds of the Crofton Country Club; Rain or Shine.

Click here to see photos from last fall's event. It poured with rain almost the entire day, with only a few patches of sunshine. I do not actually have any photos taken outside my booth that day. In the very first photo on that page you can just see the corner of my booth all the way on the left. If you scroll down, the first photo below the text features Katie Jean (in the pink shirt) who will also be at the spring show this year. And just for further diversion, the very last two photos show what it looked like for most of the day.

There is no admission fee for this event.

The Crofton Country Club is located at 1691 Crofton Parkway, Crofton, MD

May 16 - Hyattsville, MD - 11pm - 5pm

This is the 2d annual event in downtown Hyattsville, MD. The Arts Festival occurs at Baltimore Ave (US1) and Longfellow Streets in a very kitschy modern neighborhood. Located just south of Dupont Circle, with relatively near (a few blocks) Metro and Marc access; Arts District Hyattsville is one of these modern developments that strives to not be a suburb (even though the only land for development is in the suburbs.) The area is a combination of Rowhomes, Condos, offices, shops and restaurants: the plus of this is that there's great food and alway somewhere to get in from the sun/cold/rain; the downside is that if you drive you may well be parking a few blocks away, so you might as well take the Metro unless you are that keen on shopping!

There is no admission fee for this event.

June 6 - 7 - Reservoir Hill - Baltimore, MD

June 6: 11am - 4pm - - - - June 7: 1pm - 5pm

This event is a first-ever artisan showcase associated with the Reservoir Hill Historic Homes and Garden Tour (which is in itself, a gorgeous event!) This is also one of those fabulous (for vendors) events where the street is closed, so you will need to review your maps in advance for multiple parking options.

I personally will be offering package holding and mailing services for anyone who wants to shop, but does not want to carry an arm full of goodies around with them all day!

Admission for this event is $10 per person.

June 13 - 14 - Cockeysville, MD - 12pm - 6pm

This is the seventh year of the annual Great Grapes! Wine, Art and Music Festival at Oregon Ridge Park, which is gorgeous, and probably much larger than you might expect.

Admission discounts are offered if you purchase advance tickets online, there is no charge for children twelve and under.
