Finish Fingers

Do any of you other sewers out there have 'finish fingers?' I discovered a little while ago that I do, and I was wondering if it was just me. When I am machine quilting something (like the wall-hanging I finished today) and I find myself getting near the end, I find my fingers pushing the quilt through the machine faster and faster, and I have to remind myself that NEATNESS COUNTS!

Is it just me?

No, not just you. It happens to me too. I've learned that I am impulsive, so I just step back and try not to do too much too fast.

And yeah!...feel free to add a brick or two or build a whole new building even.

This serves to remind me that I'm barely getting into the city even once a month these days - time to make a little more effort.

What do you like to do in when you come into the city?

I try to get to the BSO at least a few times a year, and hit the Vagabond theater, and a few of my girlfriends live downtown and are way too hip, so they are very good for introducing me to restaurants and bars I'd never get to otherwise. I generally wander into Oliver's for pizza and then down to the Cat's Eye for bevvies and song, so it's good to have them break me out of my rut.
